Spiritual Compass Workshop
The moment of birth is a critical time in our lives; it marks the start of our independent lives, and the alignment of the stars and the planet Earth have been used to ‘divine’ or foretell some of our predispositions and tendencies. There are three critical pairs of positions that describe the spiritual journey we are going to undertake in this life, each of which has a starting position and a destination position. The six of these positions and the constellations occupying them at the moment of our birth describe the kinds of personas we are inclined to using and experimenting with.
This bracelet-making workshop uses a series of polymer clay beads I’ve made to act as a visual reminder to each of us where we ‘start’ and where we mean to ‘arrive’ in all of life’s adventures.
Each workshop is limited to 10 participants so I can give everyone the attention and instruction they need as they construct their own compass. I announce each workshop on my social media sites when I schedule them, so be sure to follow me if you’d like to participate!

My own spirit compass
This picture is of the whole bracelet - as you can see, the left end, where it is ‘read’ from, has its sections in pairs of beads, and the right hand side has three beads in each section. This is a simple communication that we start on the two-bead side, and are trying to get to the three-bead side.
Each sign is ruled by a classical element, and a planet. Here you can see mine, and the first element and planet is Sun/Fire, indicating the sign of Leo. The second pairing is of Venus/Earth, indicating the sign of Taurus. The third pair is Mars/Fire, indicating the sign of Aries. This section of the bracelet indicates the three starting positions of my journey in life.
And here is the ‘destination’ end of my spirit compass - after the tan/green divider bead, the first triad of beads is Air/Ouranus/Air, indicating the sign of Aquarius. The second triad is Water/Pluto/Water, indicating the sign of Scorpio. The final triad is Air/Venus/Air, indicating the sign of Libra.
Putting this all together, the first pair and first triad counterbalance each other, in my case I am moving from Leo to Aquarius, from the showoff to the shameless eccentric. The second pair/second triad is Taurus to Scorpio, showing that I am predisposed to TRY and act like a Taurus, and to try and NOT act like a Scorpio. The third pair/triad is from Aries to LIbra, showing that karmically I am moving from the restless Aries to the evenhanded Libra.
This compass shows the direction I am attempting to move through in this life, elaborated and complicated by the other parts of my natal chart.
