Pelagial Table prototype

This was my second attempt at working with scavenged wood, and I was trying to create a style that incorporated the character of the scavenge instead of just planing it away with power tools. Eventually, I got to this panel, which started as panels joined via Bondo and painted a metallic blue. As I added resin, I noticed the varying heights, and inspiration struck, and I painted some of the lower sections in black to match the resin I was using. Several layers of paint and resin later, and here you are! I’ve since refined this technique and my future tables will have benefited from my experiments with this piece!
